Why are some items shown as uncategorized?

Sometimes it is difficult for the Plate IQ system to tell what the delivered item is; because of this, the item is left uncategorized until the restaurant’s users manually update the item category.

You can easily check your uncategorized items by clicking on "Uncategorized Items" in the pie chart of the Spend Analysis page. Your items will be shown under the chart.





Plate IQ will automatically pick up the root categories once you select it from the category menu.
