What is the difference between Categories and Accounting accounts/GL codes?

Items get automatically categorized by Ottimate during processing.  This gives you insight into your costs over time, at a GL, Vendor, Category, Company, or Location Level. Better details on this can be found under Cost Analysis Dashboard


GL codes are determined by your team during setup. This will allow you to map each line item to the appropriate GL account from your accounting software prior to exporting. Better details can be found under Line Item GL Coding
